My hotel is the Raddison Blu on Amager Boulevard 70 – DK-2300 – Copenhagen. If I take the Metro in from the airport, what and where is the closest metro stop?
what train to take from airport to the Cabinn city hotel on Mitchellsgade 14?
Hi - forgive me for asking a question that is not strictly about travel. A classmate is going to be doing an internship at WHO Europe office in Copenhagen and is desperately searching for accommodation for June, July & August. The internship is unpaid and since she is already stretching her finances (she's from Lithuania and studying in Sweden) she is getting anxious. Any suggestions welcome. She is a delightful young woman & I hate to see this opportunity turn into a nightmare for her as she struggles to find a place to stay she can afford. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Has anyone taken the boat trip from Copenhagen to Oslo? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried these guides? Are they good providing good food advice?
Hi All. We are in Copenhagan from 09.00 until 16.00 so we only have a short time to go places. Could anyone tell me how far is everything , main tourist places from the cruise ship please? Is it walking distance or do we need any certain buses etc. Any cheap bars :-) thanks in advance, Bal
Hi, who can tell me is there any locker for storage the luggage at the airport or in the city center at the Central Station ( Train terminal) or any other place to do it ?
Hi I am in Copenhagen on 4th May 2013 I arrive by Cruise ship and would like to see Tivoli Gardens and maybe Little Mermaid I have to be back on board by 4.30pm.Please could someone advise me of the travel details and costs from the cruise terminal, many thanks in advance .
I will be staying in Copenhagen this summer for a pre-cruise stay and getting ready to book a hotel. I was leaning towards the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, in Copenhagen. I know that it is a little on the expensive side, but since i will only be staying one night i am not concerned. I am just looking for a hotel that is pretty centrally located with good accommodations and friendly staff. Has anyone stayed in this hotel that can give me some insight to this hotel? Thanks.
My husband and I are really looking forward to our first trip to Copenhagen in a few weeks time. We arrive on a Wednesday evening and return on Saturday afternoon. After reading several forums, one of things we would like to fit into our itinerary is a guided tour that relates to the tv series The Killing.
The Visit Copenhagen website links to Peter and Pings website where they say they do a tour each Saturday at 4pm. This won't work for us as we will be on our way to the airport. I have emailed them twice to see if they do this tour on other days when we are there - unfortunately I haven't had a reply.
Can anyone tell me if there are any other guided tours (1-2 hours as we have so much to do) that will fit in with our visit?
Any help with this will be much appreciated.
I'm going to Copenhagen at the end of September exactly during the blues festival and traveling from far away. Wondering if hotel prices will start getting higher as the festival gets closer for the time period of September 26th-Oct 1st? Trying to gauge when I should book the hotel as my preference budget wise would have been 3 months before but I'm wondering if that's too late.
I'll be staying close to the harbour, and I am looking for a artist shop downtown within walking distance...
Not the kind of shopo where grand mama would buy her scrapbooking stuff... but rather a real artists shop with oil paint, quality papers and faber-castell pen ;)
thanks for any suggestions...
ps. by the way, any good irish or scottish pub downtown ?
What do folks wear in Copenhagen? Every city has a different "style" - like the different between New York City and Atlanta. What is the style like in Copenhagen? Are jeans okay for most days/nights, or do you need to "dress up" for evenings and nights out? Thanks!
Is parking free for motorbikes and if not approx charges please for secure thanks ?
We are traveling to Copenhagen in September. I've read about the "must see" places to see. My question is about visiting that time of year. How's the weather?
Any pointers on places to stay?
I will be heading on a Scandinavian cruise in late July/early August and wanted some advice on what to wear/pack. I was thinking that the weather would be around the low 70's but not sure. We will be staring in Copenhagen, then visiting olso, Stockholm, Helsinki, Estonia, berlin, and St. Petersburg. Can anyone give me some advice on what to pack for the weather at these places for this time of year? Pants, shorts, jackets, umbrealls, etc? Thanks.
Hi there, I'm reaching out to VT'ers because in the past you've been so helpful with my itinerary. Hopefully I'll have the same luck this time.
We're traveling for 10 days visiting Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. A little info that might help, We're flying between cities to save time, we're a young couple, and we don't spend much time in museums unless it's an absolutely must see.
With that being said, here's our rough intinerary:
Day 1: Arrive and begin Sightseeing in Copenhagen
Day 2: Sightseeing in Copenhagen
Day 3:Sightseeing in Copenhagen
Day 4: Depart Copenhagen in the morning for Oslo by plane - Sightseeing in Oslo
Day 5: Leave for Norway in a Nutshell Tour - overnight somewhere on this trip
Day 6: Depart Bergen by plane to Stockholm
Day 7:Sightseeing in Stockholm
Day 8:perhaps Day trip to Helsinki by boat
Day 9: Sightseeing in Stockholm
Day 10: Depart Stockholm for Copenhagen and overnight there
Day 11: Return to U.S.
Please, any advice will be well recieved. Thanks in advance.
My dad and I will be going on a scandinavian cruise this summer and will be starting in copenhagen. We are getting there a day early to explore the city. I have a list of sites to see for the whole say and and wondering if i can see all these in a day. Keep in mind we dont need many hours at each place. Also we had planned on seeing all these sites by walking only. So that way wee could see all the city in between the sites. Would this be doable?
Vor frelsers Kirke(church of our savior)
The black Diamond(royal library)
The Little Mermaid
The Round Tower
tycho brahe planetarium
Also we will be staying at the Raddison Royal Blu, which is right by tivoli and the planitarium so those should be easy to visit.
We are going to Copenhagen next weekend where we will meet up with another couple that has been there before so I am hoping that they will be able to guide us during our 2 days there.
We have a limited amount of time though and would like to visit a christmas market or two and have some nice meals and visit some cosy pubs both for lunch and dinner. I heard that the christmas market at the tivoli is worth visiting, is there any other nice ones? Any reccommendations for places to eat and drink (not too fancy) would be nice too. We will be staying in a hotel close to the main railwaystation so at least for dinner it would be nice if it is not too far away from there. Is there anything else that I should not miss?
I shall pass through CPH on my way to Amsterdam, between 0730 and 1500. Thought I'd get out into the city to look around but with so many tips given here in VT, it's hard to tell which ones are not to be missed on a short time frame. So please help me out here, which ones I could skip and which ones I shouldn't miss. Thanks, guys!
I'm planning to go there for new years eve celebrations, is there a good atmosphere, places open late, etc etc? want to go there for the party!!
We are hoping to travel to Copenhagen 19th Dec-23rd Dec as a family of 3 (my husband, 3year old little boy and me) Just wondered if anyone had any hints and tips or recommendations? I'm trying to avoid paying the hiked up tourist prices. For accomodation are the hostels a good option for families? (we don't want anywhere too noisy or hectic!). Thank you for any ideas you may have :0)
My husband and I will be travelling to Copenhagen on 25th August for 4 nights - we arrive around 2pm and plan to go to Tivoli for the evening (Because of fireworks etc) would it be worthwhile getting Copenhagen card from airport for 24hrs covering transport to accommodation and possibly a trip to the zoo around 1pm (maxing card hopefully) any good suggestions for Sunday morning for places to visit using card in area of zoo?
We will have almost 1.5 day in CPH before our cruise 21 july 18:00. We'll be staying at Scandic Copenhagen.I made this plan but I need expert help with the matching of the sights. Here goes:
-Sand Sculpture festival
You think it's doable? Can I squeeze the changing of the guards?
Which is the best time of day to visit Tivoli G? We will travel with our 10 yo. I read in some posts that at night there are performances there? Is there a way to find out what's on 20 july? How much is the entrance fee and do you pay extra for the rides?
Hello, i´m Sérgio from Portugal. I´m planning to visit copenhagen in August. I was wondering how many days should i stay.
I will be in Copenhagen in mid-July after an exhausting trip through Scandinavia, and would like to unwind in a relaxing spa, which includes swimming pools, saunas, etc. I would be interested in a place the locals use more than tourists. A central location would be best, but I don't mind traveling to one via good public transport, within about a half hour radius.
Your suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.
Will be arriving for cruise and staying at Hilton and needed exact route to take for train to Freeport terminal. I read buses don't go there on Sat/Sun. is that correct? Also, if i wanted to store my luggage before cruise in downtown train station what route would I take for that and then continue onto to Freeport for cruise?
I'm looking for a hotel, for a three nights stay in October 2012, in Copenhagen. We're three adults and two kids. Requirements: central location and not too expensive and if possible, breakfast included. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
