Is there any way you can travel from Istanbul straight to Constanta without flying to Bucharest first?

we plan to be in romania for 10 days & would like to be near the sea. We are interested in constanta. Would 10 days there be too much? Where else can you recommend that we go if we hired a car & toured around??

I am traveling from Constanta to Almaty, and need the cheapest route possible. Bus, or rail is the option I am aware of. Ferries I have heard are out, and flying is pricey. Hail! Do you know how can I go from Constanta to Istanbut by ship the cheapest way? Doesn't need to be ferry or high standard. It can even be a transporting ship with pigs. Also not neccesarily from Constanta, but I think Constanta gives biggest opportunities about.

In 1914 King Ferdinand and Queen Marie tried to make a match for their son, Prince Carol, with the Grand Duchess Olga of Russia. The Russian Royal Family sailed from the Crimea to Constanta to meet the Romanian Royal Family. A Te Deum was held at St. Pual and Peter and a reception was hosted at a Pavillion that was built for the occasion. I don't know whether that Pavillion was a permanent structure and still exists or whether it was a temporary structure and no longer exists.
