    • Dracula shopping?

      Targoviste Apr 10, 2014 at 4:13 AM

I'm in targoviste for the first time, the guidebooks said this is one of the Romanian towns that has capitalized on the Dracula connection the most. I'm a vampire fan, and I like to find cute little gift shops to buy this stuff, but I'm not having any luck. What area of town do I go to?

I will travel from 1 June 2014 in Greece Paralia Katerini resort, but I go there with Express International Line bus. It is going from Bucharest to Athens. The bus does not go directly in Paralia Katerini. I will get down near the town of Katerini at Olympus Plaza station.
How can I get to Paralia Katerini from Olympus Plaza- bus ? I think that taxi is expensive...I will have very hard!!!....what is the price of a normal bus ticket from Katerini to Paralia Katerini? per person...
      Thanks a lot ! Flory

      Confused regarding tour plan

      Romania Mar 24, 2014 at 10:51 AM

Could anyone please give me an idea on how much time I should keep aside to visit these places: Bucharest, Sighisoara, Brasov, Timisoara or Cluj. We would like if any of you can provide us with a definite tour plan. We would also like to include some other places inside Romania and maybe Budapest and/or Prague. Our journey would be of 12 days approximately. Also being students we would like to travel with a tight budget,

What is the cheapest and fastest way to get to Constanta Airport, Romanina from Varna, Bulgaira? I'd like to leave in the morning and be at the airport by 11am on Aug. 13th. Is that possible? If not, I will need to travel the day before and find a cheap place by the airport to stay overnight.

      Can you please advise me?

      Thank you.

I am traveling from Constanta to Almaty, and need the cheapest route possible. Bus, or rail is the option I am aware of. Ferries I have heard are out, and flying is pricey.
What bus route is best and cheapest?
Is it cheaper to go through Ukraine, or Turkey?
Is rail cheaper than bus at long distance?
How can I make my way to the bus/train I need?

Any other details you can help with, please do.

    • Constanta Historical Building

by rossirobertg Online Now Mar 29, 2007 at 7:37 PM

In 1914 King Ferdinand and Queen Marie tried to make a match for their son, Prince Carol, with the Grand Duchess Olga of Russia. The Russian Royal Family sailed from the Crimea to Constanta to meet the Romanian Royal Family. A Te Deum was held at St. Pual and Peter and a reception was hosted at a Pavillion that was built for the occasion. I don't know whether that Pavillion was a permanent structure and still exists or whether it was a temporary structure and no longer exists. I'm doing research for a paper and would really appreciate it if someone could give me the answer to this question. Any detail or website I could go to would be appreciated.
Thanks so much. I'm Robert Rossi at if you have some information.
