I'm planning on going to Madrid and Barcelona this year and was wondering if how the weather is in October and November. How about Rome, Italy. Also, does anybody know of any good guided tour travel agencies in the East Bay, California that may have tours for Spain and Italy?

Ive read about the mendoza castle near madrid.there seems to be a bus throughout the day,is this very convenient?worth it?

I am an upcoming Junior in highschool and play water polo over the summer every day. I was thinking about going on an exchange over the summer to Madrid for about 3-4 weeks and if I were to go I would need to join a swim or water polo team. I arrive in Madrid on the AVE from Malaga. From what platform do I catch the train from Madrid Atocha train station to Guadalajara?

I know the main one is Pamplona in July, but I heard there was smaller version near Madrid in August, but cant find the exact date. Also for La Tomatina, is it better to stay in Valencia or Bunol? I assume the trains run all day and night so its easy enough to travel to Bunol.

I'm thinking of getting a flight from barcelona but one that has a layover in madrid..will get in about noon and wont fly out til next morning.in this time , i would like to go to segovia.how far is charmartin train station from airport and is there a moderate priced hotel near the airport?

Needing a somewhat "low cost" option for my holidays this year, I've chosen Madrid! Living in Portugal, it's a cheap air ticket :)

I'll be there for 4 nights, and I'm starting my quest to find a confortable place to sleep.

Have you already used some web site to rent an apartment in Madrid? Googling it, there are many web sites, but i'de like to start (and stick) to the ones people already used and had a good experience.

Where would people recommend looking for a Madrid apartment for August in the summer? Trying to find a nice apartment (does not need to be huge) for 2 people from where we can experience Spanish life for a full month, just to get a real taste of Madrid. Budget about 800 max for the month.

Hello travelers, I am a 25 year old girl going to Madrid the next week and I am so excited about it that I don´t really know what should I do first... I will be spending 4 days in the Spanish capital and I would like to explore as much as possible. Would you recommend the touristic bus? Are the flamenco shows worthed? Greetings from the USA, The apartment we listed in our last post is no longer available .... We booked it, but were bumped, because they have someone that want sit for the month of September. They offered to move us to another apartment, but would not provide information as to where until we get there. We will not deal with a company that cannot be upfront about where we would be moved to instead. We feel it could be anywhere they have an apartment available at the time we arrive. We want to know ahead of time what we are getting. We found another company (recommended by a VT member) that has a nice apartment available that they will guarantee we will be getting. Our stay in Madrid will be from September 2nd thru September 12th, then we move on to the Netherlands for our yearly visit to our friends for 3 weeks.
