Family-friendly itinerary in SW Colorado

Hi VTers, We'll be driving from Monument Valley to Denver in late April, and would like to visit some places along the way that have family-oriented attractions. We have 5 days to get to Denver. Which route would you suggest, and where should we stop along the way? I've read some of the earlier forum replies but not sure if they'd fit for small kids. My oldest is 3, so hiking is probably out of the question unless there's such thing as a stroller-friendly trail... Thanks, -Richard
