Myself and a friend are planning a winter away from the cold North Atlantic . We are looking at renting a 2 bedroom house / apt near the beach and within walking distance of markets , bars and restaurants from Nov 1- May 1.
Would Uverito Beach, Los Santos area be a good choice?
Do you have any names of rental agencies ? We are using Craigs List.

My girlfriend and I are going to Panama in mid june for two weeks (I know not the best time of year for it weather wise!) and we need some help in planning the trip...we don't know anyone who has been before! We fly in and we fly out of the city so that has to be our start and end destination. We plan to finish off the trip in the city in a hotel which came with our flights but for the 11-12 days before we want to get out and explore the country backpacker style. We definitely want to go to Bocas Del Toro and I would be interested in doing the cloud-forest hiking in the north on the border of Costa Rica. Looking at the map an idea I had was to travel the Pacific Ocean coast and over 8 days make our way to Bocas and then fly back internally to the city. Would this be a good idea and does the West coast cater well for the backpacker?
I have also heard the San Blas on the East coast is amazing but with the location and timescales I think that perhaps it might be trying to do too much?
Any advice would be hugely appreciated as we need to get planning as we are going out in the middle of the school holidays it seems!

Am considering a dental vacation to David,Panama. Is there any reason to suspect this would ot be a safe destinatio?
Looking for assistance in finding where to shop in Colon? Is the Free Zone for cruise passengers the best place to shop for clothes, fine jewellery etc. Or can anyone recommend where else to shop for the deals! How far is Colon to say Panama city ,we hear the Albrook Mall is worth looking into? what is the best ,safest way to get to the mall and back to the cruise port? Or is it just better staying in Colon to shop. Looking forward to any comments,Thanks
I need to know how to go from Panama Tucuman airport to the cruise ship port, other than using the cruise line transfers, also how far is the port from the airport? How much should I expect to pay ? We are 2 woman traveling by ourselves
HELLO: GOING BY CRUISE SHIP TO COLON...ONE DAYER...SHOULD I RENT A CAR OR TRY AND USE A TAXI OR TAKE A TOUR? MY HUSBAND IS A LITTLE TESTY ABOUT SITTING ON A TOUR BUS OR BOAT FOR 8 HOURS OR SO. THANK YOU
We will be visiting Colon, Panama by cruise ship for one day in late February, 2007. If possible we would like to make our own shore excursion plans. Any suggestions?
