Cologne on a sunday

by verena-agnes Online Now Sep 29, 2006 at 11:09 AM

Dear VTs,

a friend of mine and I are coming to Cologne on Nov 12th. We have tickets to the opera and we are looking for nice things to do during the rest of the day.

The opera starts at 6pm. Before, we would like to visit the cathedral as well as the "Domschatzkammer".

We've been thinking about having brunch in Cologne on this day. The "Alter Wartesaal" seems to be a nice spot to have brunch at. Is this true? Just found it on the internet. Maybe there's a better place in Cologne for brunch?

After the opera, we'd like to have dinner and go to a nice bar (chill out or dancing ...we haven't decided yet). So, what is good (and open) on sunday evenings? I've found "Alter Wartesaal", "Rosebud" , an Irish Pub ("Jamestown" or something like this on Friesenstrasse I think) and Zuelpicher Straße (in general). Do you have any ideas for 2 girls on a sunday night?

I'm thankful for every answer!!!

THANKS GUYS!!!!
