We would like to know how much time is neccessary to visit the university with the ticket including Library, Capel, Prison, etc.? Thank you
If you include their Science museum in places to visit, you would need half a day, but if it's just the library, chapel, the jail, it will take you in total less than an hour. Note, however, that library visits are timed, and the door is opened only every 20 minutes, allowing only a limited number of visitors every time. So you may have to wait a bit, depending on the number of people waiting to get in -- i didn't see any queue the last time, people were just waiting patiently for their turn. The visit to the library takes from 10-15 minutes only, in any case but it IS impressive, and worth the longer wait.

Thank you Berenices. We are not interested in visiting the museum, just the other parts you mention. We will spend the whole day at Coimbra so following your suggestions, we will definetely visit the University. Appart from this, the rest of the day we will see both Catedrals, Quinta das Lagrimas, Commerce Place and the hotel offers us the posibility to make a trip on Douro but we do not know because we will be at Coimbra this Saturday and weather forecast seems to be very bad, a lot of rains. What a pity!
