Can anyone tell me if there still is an Old Street in Cobh? My relatives lived there in 1889 and a friend will be over in Cork next week. They offered to take a photo of the address, but I can't find 1 Old Street on any map.
I know that it exists because I recall driving past or over it on several occassions whilst in Cobh. However, I am not sure of its exact location. It is a small enough street that it won't show up on most travel maps. You might be able to find it on an ordinance map though. Perhaps, you could contact the Cobh Heritage Centre, http://www.cobhheritage.com, and they could help you locate the street? Also, contact the Cobh Harbour Chamber of Business, cobhharbourchamber.ie/index...., as they should be able to tell you whee it is located. Good Luck! Slan Beo, Bit Devine

Yes it is still there near the Titanic memorial in Pearse Square, there will be no difficulty in locating it.
