My friend Erik707 is flying in this week, on Thursday, for a business trip and will be staying through Sunday. I was thinking about gathering downtown one of those days. Unfortunately, I am working Fri and Sat nights until 10pm, so I can't be free for dinner those nights unlss anyone minds going out late OR we go for dinner Thursday night. We could always do lunch, too, and go see a sight. Eh? There's a new House of Blues that I've been to and it would be fun to go there again. :) Let me know if you might be interested and I'll get something on the calendar.
Hey.....I am available. If there's a show at the House of Blues....I'd rather not do that, but I'm game for whatever else. If Erik wants to hang out before 10, I can pick him up!

Great! Dinner may not even be an option for me due to work so maybe lunch at the HoB, instead? I'll give Erik a heads up about this forum and I know that he's interested in meeting you and going out before I can join in. Now that I think, maybe dinner at the HoB Thursday night if there's no show? Somewhere else, too, maybe... Maybe Pickwick, Flannery's; got any suggestions?

I would suggest dinner (or lunch) at a Cleveland institution rather than a chain, but I am going to leave that to you!! ;~)

Oh, yeah! I agree! Hmm... I gotta think about where, then. :)

How about Hornblowers or the Waterstreet Grill? The Waterstreet is affordable, huge menu and classy.

Not to be a pain, but Waterstreet may or may not employ an ex or two, which would make me lose my apetite. There's the Metropolitan in the Warehouse district. There's a couple of places in Tremont, too! Erika......just call me....I'm home! HA!

Hey guys, I can't make it but you're making my mouth water. I've been to the Metropolitan and had a wonderful time there. Another super place nearby is Sushi Rock, but I haven't been there on the weekend so I couldn't give you a clue as to how crowded it's likely to be. The other plus to WH District is that if you don't like one place, another option is a few steps away. Wish I could make it, tho- Have fun!

OMG! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! | - P' I guess I just was away from VT for too many days. Man, I've gotta quit that late-night web surfing. Well, sorry I MISSED it!! (How'd it go, BTW?) On another note, I noticed another forum question mentioning a place called the Velvet Dog. Does anyone know anything about this place? Food? Music? Live? DJ?

UGH.....pretentiousness at it's best!!!! That's where the people that think they're pretty hang out! Then again, I don't like the Warehouse District.....so I'm the wrong person to ask about that! Erika?

Heh heh heh. :) I know the WD pretty well, actually! I've been to the Velvet Dog and even have a tip about it. Not my kind of plce; I only went because the air show had a party there so naturally I joined my 'collegues'. I didn't like it because it's just lame. If it's your scene, then it's fun, I guess. It's probably one of the very most popular places down there; all kinds of people with God knows what intentions. Beware of getting your @$$ grabbed and catching an STD in the bathrooms! (Only mild sarcsam there.)
