what is the cheapest way to get to clermont ferrand from basel-mulhouse airport?

I will be an intern medical student in Clermont Ferrand in August, 2008 and trying to find the best deal of transportation. Right now I found a discount flight to Basel-Mulhouse airport and trying to find a cheap way (bus, train, flight) to get to Clermont Ferrand from basel-mulhouse? Do you have any suggestions?

    I hope you do realise that Clermont Ferrand is nowhere near Mulhouse, so you have a long trip ahead of you. You can travel from Mulhouse to Clermont Ferrand by train. This will take you about 7 hours, and will cost 52,90 Euro. As there is a train connection there is no bus connection as competing with the railways is not allowed in France. I'd seriously consider flying to somewhere closer.
