1. I'd suggest going out in either Mt. Adams or Newport. Mt. Adams Pavillion has a great view of the city, but is a pretty fratty bar/area. Hofbrauhaus (in Newport) is a German beer hall just over the bridge from downtown. There's a better mix of people here and it's really nice when the weather is good enough to sit outside. If you're looking for a true club, I always hear about Purgatory (just off Main Street, downtown), but I've never been and wouldn't expect it to be comfortable.
2. What kind of restaurant are you looking for? I'd suggest Skyline and Montgomery Inn (and you can't leave without getting Graeter's ice cream). But, if your friend has been to Cincinnati before, she probably knows about these places.
3. I don't know. I'll think about it and post some ideas later.
