Whats the best way to see fox glazier

i am traveling to nz in november and have about 3 days free to see fox glazier. we will be flying from auckland - is it best to fly into christchurch and go from there or where. is there any tours available - not too expensive. waht is the best way to do it??

I think it is doable, but you will have to do a lot of driving/traveling in 3 days. You will need at least 6 hours from CHC to fox Glacier (one way) and could visit the glacier (with a guided walk) the second day of your visit.
