travel: Christchurch to Auckland..

Hi all Hope somebody can help. Im in the process of sorting out a flight to new Zealand. I arrive in Auckland and return from Auckland. However my mate is leaving from christchurch. if i was to land in auckland and leave from christchurch that would add about an extra 200 english pounds - as opposed to me leaving from auckland. now here is my inquiry: how much would it cost to get from Christchurch to Auckland? (on various modes of transport) - train? plane? bus? could anyone please help? could you please let me know the distance and how long it would take (by various modes of transport) what im trying to determine is if i should pay the extra 200pounds and get me a ticket that arrives in Auckland but LEAVES from christchurch or if i should just travel up to auckland from christchurch (paying for this whilst in NZ) i'd be most grateful for your assistance! thanks in advance! cheers all.     One way flight from Aukland to Christchurch via Quantas is180 (75GBP) as per qantas.com.au/regions/dyn/ho... You may find cheaper 1 hour twenty minutes by plane
