Hi guys, My son and his mate want to head off to NZ in June for some skiing. Anytips on the following. 1.Best ski accommodation on the slopes. 2.Any other cheap and safe accom. 3.Other suggested must sees. 4. Any advice on how to get around and rough idea of costs for all the above. Sorry it is so broad but the are just feeeling the way. First trip O/S on their own. Thanks Heaps Julie-Anne
Do you intend to make Christchurch your base? If so, the nearest skiing resort and slope is at Mt Hutt which is about 1 hour away. Otherwise head to Queenstown where you can choose between Cadrona or Coronet Peak. Queenstown/Wanaka is a better option because you can find budget accommodation especially Wanaka where accommodation/food etc are generally cheaper than Queenstown and the skiiing packages cost less.
