dear friends my boyfriend and i will be travelling from santiago to puerto montt in early april. we wanna take a night bus, we wanna know if u can recommend any and how long it takes to get there. Also, how far is Mendoza by bus from Santiago? and is there a bus you can recommend from Puerto Montt/puerto Varaz to Bariloche? thanks for you help!
Hi !! There's an argentinian bus company called "Andesmar" (sugerencias@andesmar.com.ar) They cover the route you requested, from Santiago to Mendoza in 7 hours (remember it has to cross all the Andes) They also have the route P. Montt - Bariloche (7 hours too) I dont know buses from Santiago to P. Montt, but it's about 650 miles... As I see you are traveling in these area I'd recommend you to visit that page.. interpatagonia.com/index_i.h... It's really excellent, and has information about Argentina and Chile southern area.
