Hotels near Art Institute

Hi I just got some cheap airline tickets to Chicago arriving Nov. 7 and leaving Nov. 9. The main purpose is to spend some time at the Art Institute as I am a beginning painter. Any suggestions for convenient hotels under200/night? Is transportation around the Art Institue convenient so that we could stay in interesting neighborhoods that aren't nearby the museum? Thanks.
