Elephant Ride in Chiang Mai Thailand

We are planning to take Elephant ride in Chiang Mai near end of June. I have LOTS of allergies to horses, cows, cats. Do you konw if people with allergies to these animals also allergic to elephant fur? Where would I check out elephant rides?
