A few friends and I (all young professionals) will be in HK for NYE 2013/14 and will be hiring a boat on the habour for the evening - figure this would be a great way to watch the fireworks, bring in the new year & avoid the crowds :))
We have space for several more people/group and are looking for anyone who would be keen to join us (and to share the boat-hire cost).
Happy to hear from anyone interested, please send me an email to: holdthatelevator@gmail . com if you're interested.
Talk soon :)
We will be going to Hong Kong for one day and night after a beach holiday in Thailand in Feb before returning to the UK. I'm looking for recommendations please on where we should stay? We are ideally looking for a four star hotel in an area with bars and restaurants but with good access to the airport and where we can get a true feel of the city in our limited timescale. I love a nice view too. Any advice please?

Does anybody knows if it is possible to travel with the Macau Turbo Jet from Honkong airport (Lantau) one day after arrival in Hong Kong? Or is this service only for passengers in transit to Macau, presenting a valid ferry ticket with the same day departure?
Can anyone help me with this?
I will be staying in Regal Oriental Hotel when I visit Hong Kong in December and I need to check-in at 6am and check-out at 5am, but the hotel's check-in and check-out timings are 2pm and 12pm respectively. However, it did state on its website that there's express check-in and check-out counters. Does anyone know how it works and what I have to do? Also, are there any additional charges? Thank you so much for your help!!
