      London Jun 5, 2013 at 6:20 AM

I am not too sure if these is the right place to find a traveling companion. I have a good friend, partially blind who has free accommodation for 8 days (starting 22 June 2013) inside the Santuario in Lourdes, France. She is looking for a femaile companion to qualify for this free accommodation.
As I said, its a femail , around 58 years old. She is very dependent and lovely Asian . Before she started losing her sight she worked as a journalists. Thank you for giving me the opportunity putting this on VT. God Bless you all!

Also, is there more than one access road (gate) to the Eden Project or does everyone have to approach from the same side?

    • Easiest way to get a shower?

      Heathrow May 27, 2013 at 10:28 PM

      Hello all,

I have an 8 hour layover between two long haul flights (11am-7pm). I am arriving in/leaving from T5. I would really like to take a quick shower during this stop over. l know that there are hotels landside and airside (T3) as well as lounge options.

My questions is: what is the easiest option? Will I even be allowed to go from T5 to T3 airside (and what would that entail-- ie trips through security, time, etc). Alternatively, how much of a hassle would it be to go landside? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I apologize for re-posting this question but I am a newbie and I don't know how to remove my first question.

I don't think that I was very clear in that query. Please let me try again. I am landing on a BA flight at LHR Terminal 5 on Sunday mid morning. A friend, who is also flying BA, is expected to arrive at LHR Terminal 5 a couple of hours later.

Is there a comfortable place (with luggage in tow) that I can watch the screens to see the status of her flight and wait for her to clear customs we can then meet up so we can then proceed to the Heathrow Express?

      Thanks everyone for your patience!

      Two days

      Chester Apr 25, 2013 at 12:55 AM

We are thinking of doing a self-drive holiday in UK - never having been there before, but with limited time I was thinking of the following, obviously with stops along the way for sightseeing.

      Day 1 (6.50 am arrival .....) London
      Day 2London
      Day 3 Drive to Bath
      Day 4 Drive to Chester
Day 5 Drive through Wales, back to Chester
      Day 6 Drive to York
      Day 7 Drive to Nottingham
      Day 8 Drive to Warwick
      Day 9 Drive to Oxford
Day 10 Drive back to Heathrow (early start day 11)

Is it better to spend the two days in Chester with day trips out or would I be better allocating the time elsewhere? Not much interest in the Lakeland District as we are more interested in the history than the scenery.

Also, my husband will be working and we will need wifi access everywhere. Looking at B&B's, but want wifi, private facilities in all places. Am I too hopeful?

      Any help gratefully accepted
