Chennai (Madras) Travel Answers

1 Night / half day (en route)

I'm arriving December 3rd at 9pm in chennai. I'll probably stay in a budget hotel; does anybody recommend a safe place to stay / an area with a fun/active scene at night (ie restaurants, pubs, etc) The next day I leave at 8:30pm from chennai and I'll have time for a couple things during the morning/afternoon. On my list so far is the Kapaliswara Temple... any advice on what to add? Thanks!
