I would like to ride a mountain bike or speed bike around Wuxi. Do anyone know of any place where I can rent one? I have read about the public bike rental system but I'm afraid it will get me a standard city bike, not fit for a 50km+ ride

      Anyone up for Tibet ?

      Tibet Jan 14, 2015 at 6:31 AM

      Hi everyone !
My name is Juliette, I’m 21 and I’m french. I’m studying art in Suzhou at the moment, but I’ll be taking some time off to travel around China starting the end of january. I have been planning to go to Tibet around the last week of february, but quite honestly, I’m looking for someone (or a group of someones, the more the merrier !) to share the costs with, seeing how the requirements make it quite expensive, and it's always nice to do this kind of trip with someone to share with !
Anyone out there interested in joining me ? :)

      Complete lost! HELP!

      Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Yesterday

      Hi!
My boyfriend and I will travel to China in May. Our plan is to get a train straight to Ulaanbaatar and stay at Mongolia for a week. The only thing is we have no idea what to do and how to travel in Mongolia, we really could use some help.
We are backpackers - which means, low budget travel and seeking for an authentic experience. I know we just got 1 week to spend there, but we would really like to visit the Gobi desert and spent the night at locals house.
      Thank you!!

      10 hour layover tour

      Beijing Jan 6, 2015 at 5:26 PM

I choose a flight with a 12 hour layover intentionally so I could take one of those layover tours in Beijing and visit the great wall of China..

I noticed the tours are "private" so they adapt to your needs.. i have couple of questions.. has anybody has done it and if so which company you used?
will you consider the private tour to be safe for a female solo traveler?

      thanks

      Shanghai Dec 27, 2014 at 9:43 PM

In late February I have a connection at PVG, with 11 hours between flights. Is there a city tour that leaves from the airport? If not, can I join a tour near the airport? Can I get some Cuban ribs somewhere?.
      Thanks.

      info about Changsha

by atollo51 Online Now Feb 8, 2010 at 1:56 PM

Hi. If anyone have some information about how to find a flat to rent in Changsha and how much it costs normally, I would thank to give me.
I'm coming to this city very soon, maybe in 2 months and I don't have any contacts there. I don't even know so much about the city, so general informations would be great, expecially about life there, people, transports, nature, where to find a class to learn chineese. Thanks to anyone that can help me. Maybe we will see in Changsha. Bye. Michele. I'm from Italy.

What are the places of interest one should not miss when visiting Changsha?

by cxs Online Now Apr 13, 2009 at 3:37 PM

Wondering if anyone could offer travel experience in Changsha. Where are the 'must-visit' sites? Heard about Fenghuang gucheng and zhang jiajie and the famous spicy cuisine, embriodiary too. Any reasonable-priced hotels you can recommend, in term of location and cleanliness? safe to travel alone there? Advisable to take public transport from airport to town? Appreciate all your help.

    • Help please with accomodation in Changsha, Hunan province.

by gary00 Online Now Feb 11, 2009 at 3:07 PM

Please can somebody suggest a hostel or cheap hotel in Changsha. I have stayed in Changsha before but i was unhappy with the service and prices of the 2 hotels.
I need to visit again in a few weeks and have spent hours searching for hostels and hotels but cannot find a single bed for under RMB158 I normally pay about RMB70 in most towns but Changsha seems to be the most expensive city in china.
Perhaps I am searching in the wrong place.
A hostel dormitory would be great. Anywhere in or around Changsha is fine as I am quite happy to use the buses.
      Thanks for your help.
      Gary.
