Hi We are visiting Chamonix beginning of April. This is our first snowboarding trip! Apart from a few lessons at Xscape I am a complete (very nervous)beginner! My boyfriend on the other hand cannot wait to be let loose on the slopes! Can anybody offer any advice? Best slopes, bars, restaurants etc... x
Go and get lessons for a few mornings - that is my advice! If you are a beginner, start at Le Vormaine and progress on to Le Tour. Let your boyfriend do whatever he wants. Otherwise, you will end up being miserable falling around all day long and getting frustrated trying to follow him if he is already experienced. Arrange to meet up at a on slope restaurant for lunch and then board together for a bit after that (when he is already tired from the AM). August is still high season for summer tourism as schools don't go back until the 2nd of September so it will be busy... more
