We are going in late September and after spending 2 days in Athens we are then going to Santorini for 3 days. We definitely want to go to Rhodes and a day trip to Symi. I have discovered that airfare to and from Santorini is very expensive. To visit Hydra we have to go to Athens first. We want to go to a beautiful, typical island with interesting history. Any suggestions??
Thank you
Nancy

Hi all,
I just wanted to know if there are any tennis courts in Santorini that are independent i.e. not attached to any hotel and open to public. We are staying in Fira for a week. If there are any, do they provide racquets to adults and kids?

Would you recommend renting a car to travel from Athens to Nafplia or should we take a bus? We also plan to visit Momnevasia
Hello all,
Does anyone know if you can store luggage easily at the airport? Is it expensive? We'll fly into Athens on an international flight, then immediately travel to some islands, later flying back into Athens on a domestic flight. We were thinking of leaving a piece of luggage at the airport which we wouldn't need until returning to Athens after our island hopping. However, are the domestic flight arrivals far away from the international arrivals? If we stored our luggage near the international arrival area, we would have to go back to retrieve it upon returning via domestic flight arrivals. Is it a huge airport?
Thank you for your help!

Hi Everyone,
We're ready to book our ferry tickets from Santorini to Crete, and have chosen the Highspeed 5 vessel. They offer business, VIP, and economy seats. Also, within those groups, they offer with or without a table. It's only about 3 hours travel time; do we need a table? Are they situated so that those seats are more comfortable? Is there a lot more leg room with the business class seats?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
How is the party in Ios during those dates? Has any one been at that time? What can you share?
Hi everyone,
These are the 2 choices for online booking of a boat from Santorini to Crete on our particular date of travel. Online, they look about the same so far as passenger capacity, vehicle capacity, and style. The Mega Jet was built in 1996 in contrast to the newer Highspeed 5 (2006). The Highspeed 5 is 30 minutes faster, but we'd prefer comfort over speed it there's a difference.
Let me know if you have any experience with these vessels and if you have any advice about which might be better.
Thank you!
Susan
Hi! Me and my boyfriend are planning to go 2 weeks to Greece this august. Actually I've been to athens, santorini and paros, and I loved it (the good thing is that it was during low season, in april). I would like to go to some little quiet and beautiful island where we can camp, swim and walk. I'd prefer an island with rocks instead of sand, but if it's sand i won't complain
!
Another important think is how we get there.....I remember taking ferries for long hours wich I wouldn't mind if it's worth it, but something not at the end of the world (we have little money to spend).
Thanks!
Hi, I am planning a trip to Greece and I need some informations and some advice as well. I am planning to visit Prokopi (Evvia) and stay for 2 days, after that I plan to go to ThessalonĂki. The problem is that I do not know if the bus is the right choice. Is it possible to take a bus from Prokopi to Thessaloniki or I should go to Athens and take the bus from there and if so from where in Athens. Which is the shortest way to get to Thessaloniki without costing me a lot of money. Thank you in advance for any useful information, Monalisa
Hello, does anyone know if the train line from Chalkis to Athens is now open? If so, do you know the times? Many thanks.
Yasas i am planning a short trip to Greece in end of July and will be mainly in Athens. I would like to visit the village of Prokopi (church of Agios Ioannis Rossos) and seeking advise on how to get there from Athens. I will be most likely going on July 23, Friday, and will need to return to Athens on the evening of the same day. I appreciate if you advise which bus station in Athens I should start at to get to Chalkida and how i can get detailed bus schedule Chalkida-Prokopi. Is there a possibility to come to chalkida by train and then go to Prokopi by bus? I sincerely appreciate your advise, I will only have 1 day for tris trip and i hope I can use this opportunity to go to Prokopi to the holy place I have been waiting to visit. Euxaristo, angelina
Hi All, We are due to visit Chalkida for a wedding in June and have been booked in to the best western Lucy Chalkis, but wasnt sure if this was ok?
