Hi I am trying to buy ticket online for the castle. I have looked at the official website and have some specific questions: zamek-ceskykrumlov.eu/tour-r... I wanted to find out if I buy the Castle Museum ticket, will I also gain access to the routes on Tour 1? Or the only way I get to see Tour 1 route is to buy the ticket for guided tour itself? On the website it says I can buy Castle Museum + Tower at a discounted rate, but there is no such option on the ticketing portal. What can I see at the Tower and is this a must? Would you advise me to buy ticket on the spot? Any other helpful tips appreciated! Thanks! =)
The Castle Museum did not exist when I was there - it opened the exposition in 2011. When you look at panoramic picture on top of the page http://www.zamek-ceskykrumlov.eu You see the tower on the right. Castle Museum is the yellow building - the lowest part. Routes 1 and 2 are in the dark gray building built on the rock. White building on the left is the Castle Theater. Route 1 is mainly in the part facing "this" way, route 2 is in the rooms in the "back" side of the Castle. Each exposition has own ticket and do not overlap in any part with other exposition. Routes 1, 2 or Theater are accessible only with guided tours and thus have allocated time slots and limited number of participants. That's why it is important to get ticket early. Museum and Tower on contrary are available for individual entrance at your convenience - these tickets you can buy on location if you decide to visit them. I did not visit Tower (do not like heights), but it offers mainly the view from the top.
