Hi, I have booked my air tickets and hotel accomodations quite a few months ago and will be staying 1 night at Siam and 3 nights on Asoke Road (Sukhumvit Soi 21). As I understand that there were some demonstrations going on at Asoke area, may I know if it is safe for me to travel during 3-7 April?
I'm intending to visit the usual shopping areas such as pratunum, chatuchak, asiatique and possibly sight seeing places such as Wat Arun/ Wat Pho/ Wat Phra Kaew. Would like to know if these areas are safe as well.
I am currently pregnant and am therefore especially worried due to my immbolity in times of emergency. Thank you and appreciate your responses.
How much time will I need to tour Mini Siam?

I have already booked my flights (but have not book my accommodation yet) to Bangkok for 11 - 14 April 2014 but am feeling half-hearted about going there... I have been updating myself with the news on the Internet and understand they have closed most of the major protest sites and move to the park..
I will be most likely stay around Ratchathewi BTS and the places i will go will probably be MBK, siam paragon, platinum fashion mall, chatuchak market....
Can someone enlighten me?
Thanks in adv

I'll be travelling with my friends to Bangkok tomorrow till 6 March, just want to inquire if is it safe to travel now and is KC Place Hotel near danger sites? Lastly, if it is safe to travel, are the populated shopping areas safe to visit due to the recent bombings?
I will be staying at the Centara Hotel in a few weeks, thus far is there a lot of protest around that area and has it been safe?
Thanks for the help.
Hi, I will be going to Bangkok next weekend and will be staying at Berkeley Hotel, Pratunam.
My travelling itinerary would be :
Escape Hunt (Located nearby BTS Asok)
Chatuchak Weekend Market
Chinatown (Sampeng Lane)
Platinum Mall, Central World and Siam Paragon
My concerns are:
1. From Don Muang airport, will taxi be able to drop us at the hotel or the road to the hotel is blocked?
2. From Berkeley Hotel to & from Chinatown - is it possible to use Taxi? As we are planning to do some wholesale shopping there. Its quite hard to lug around bags and bags of stocks from station to station.
Would appreciate advises and tips!
