Number of days on Mediterranean Coast

by MargieW Online Now Feb 21, 2008 at 8:00 PM

Please take a look at our general interests & ideas of what we’d like to see and do on the Mediterranean Coast - I would very much appreciate an educated estimate of how many days to plan for on our upcoming trip in mid-May!

Rehovot – Weizmann Institute of Science – walking tour

Caesarea National Park, Jewish Quarter & Roman Aqueduct

Wine Country & Mt. Carmel
Zichron Ya’akov , Mukhraka & Carmelite Monastery, Druze villages of Isfiya, Daliyat el Carmel. Hurfeish & museum of Druze culture, Gush Halav (Christian Maronite community), Ein Hod artist’s village, Nahal Me’arot Nature Reserve & Carmel Caves , a winery or two

Akko (Acre)- also walk around at night

Your insights are appreciated!

Rehovot is a bit separated from the rest. you can combine it with Tel Aviv. The other places are short drive distance - cezarea to Akko max 1 hour. So, it depends how you move from one place to the other. By car is the reccommended way. If you plan to be based in Haifa or near, all this area can be visitted from that base and the time you will spend in each place is for you to decide. It is safe to drive at night, so you can do Akko walk etc and still return to Haifa.
