I will be in Pompano Beach next week and want to meet friends from Ft. Lauderdale. Is there either a great Italian or Seafood restaurant at the half way point for both of us. I'll go south, they'll come north. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hello. I'm heading over to St. Augustine tonight to see the city lit up for Christmas and have dinner. I was wondering about the Floridian. The revues look good but I would prefer to go someplace the locals do. ( I'm in Gainesville so I don't technically count as a tourist lol )
And tips would be greatly appreciated
Thanks and have a Happy Thanksgiving
i would like to find a nice place thats not to expensive that has a pool and overlooks the gulf. i stayed in sanibel 20 yrs ago with friends . the rental unit was on the first floor and had sliders going out to the beach. i remember it was close to the causeway
we traveling to ft.lauderdale in april. we are staying at the Ocean Sky Hotel for a night. is there anything to do in the area with in walking distance? and what about public transit? is there anything there? is it easy to get around if you don't have a car?
We will go to South Florida for the 6th time in February 2015.
At the end of our trip, we must go from Fort Myers Beach to Fountainebleau (Miami) to spend one day at the Dolphin Mall and at the Miami International Mall.
We have the choice between 3 routes :
- Crossing the Everglades by 41
- Taking the highway 75
- Taking the 80 and passing by the Lake Okeechobee .
Previously, we have already taken the 2 first routes and we will cross Florida E/W by 41 on the way there to reach Naples before joining Fort Myers.
Does the third one (80) worths the travel : landscapes, cities, nature, thing to do and to see despite it the the longest route ?
Thanks a lot to help us to make our opinion.
