Hi, we have been to the sol 7 times and it has taken me this long to realy get to grips with the fishing on cayo coco..the best advice is to go and see freddie..he will be at the nautical center, and tell him that i sent you to have a word about fishing with him..one of the guys has a boat and he will take you out for 85 pesos. freddie will have some pictures of me with the record dorado i had in April. We are back there on the 14th Nov for a week and i'll speak to him for you, just let me have you're details..if you dont want me to speak with him speak to enrique at the customer services desk at the melia and mention my name enrique will but you in contact with freddie. Guides are avail at the hotel but cost 200 pesos p/day. as you go onto the beach if you turn right and walk for 15/20 mins you come to the flats where bonefish are abundant but hard to catch. Live baiting near the rock to you're left can produce 30lb+ jacks, snapper and kingfish but usually this is at first light or dusk. hope this helps let me know if you need any more info or pm me. rgds Ozz

Hi You should now be back from Cayo Coco, and after having to change our hotel plans for May 2011 from Cayo Guillermo to Cayo Coco, wish to ask for your husbands thoughts on the fishing available at Cayo Coco. Could you please advise where you went fishing, how much trips cost, weather you did any night time fishing etc etc. I await your reply. Many thanks
