myself and my wife are wanting to go to papal audience at castel gondolfo in august but are very concerned about location when travelling by bus or train regarding the steepness of the climb as neither of us are fit enough for a really steep or long walk. Is there an easier way to get there. We are travelling from rome.
I went to castel gandolfo in early 2008 and there was a dispute between the operators of the beaches (restaurants, seat sellers etc) and the local council, I think over ongoing rent issues. Does anyone know if this dispute has now been resolved and if the businesses have re-opened? Thanks
We are 2 women, very fit, traveling from Rome on the bus from the Anagnina Metro station or by train from Rome's Termini Station to Castel Gandolfo, 15 miles from Rome. Is is not well traveled making the journey a bit unsafe since not many people around?
my son and i would love to be a part of the papal audience. we are leaving aug. 13th and will get to rome on the 14th at midnight. how can i find out if we can see the pope and where he will be??? thank you very much. liz shaw
When the pope is not in residence are there tours of the papal palace?
I am hoping to find a book about Castel Gandolfo-does anyone know of any? My priest would love to visit and I would love to buy him a book about Castel Gandolfo. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you, Tonya
