Hi, has the crowne plaza at caserta been bought over by another company and had its name changed? i stayed there earlier this year and trying to book online with no success.
The hotel seems to be operating as usual. crowneplaza-caserta.com/it/C...

I've just called the concierge desk in Caserta ( I don't pay for calls to Italy). I asked if I had got through to the Crowne Plaza, Caserta and they said 'yes'.

Yeah, there's something funny going on, because this hotel doesn't show up on the US website either...makes me think that while they've retained the name, that they are no longer part of the group... Bill

Yep, I agree Bill - I just tried to go through the process of booking through the Intercontinental Hotel website. This led me nowhere.

OK!! I couldn't resist checking this out further. According to Intercontinental Hotels Group, the hotel is still the Crowne Plaza, but is no longer in the IH Group. As for the reason, nobody will tell me.
