I will want to buy a bottle of wine on Sunday. My hotel is near Stade Laarbi ben Mubarak. Where is the nearest place? What are Sunday hours like?
I dont know Cassablanca but Majanne supermarket sells alcohol. Most alcohol shops in Morocco open early and close at 8pm.

I don't know the specific answer to your question, but to generalise, Sunday is like any other weekday in Morocco, it's the Friday prayer day when there are slight disruptions to the sale of take away alcohol. Unless somebody comes up with a better suggestion, I would flag down a small red taxi, available just about everywhere in Casa, to Cafe les Negociants on the corner of Boulevarde Mohammed V and Rue Chaouia, and ask there, if no joy turn left into Rue Chaouia and continue through the old French quarter, I have seen off-licences in various streets around here, but can't remember exactly where, as a last resort (unlikely) turn right off Rue Chaouia just before Hotel Manar into Rue Allal ben Abdallah, there are three bars here, including the upmarket " Bodega" a Spanish Cantina, I'm sure you will find what you want....cheers!....Benny.

Have to agree as well, Casablanca is not a great city to see but with an afternoon I would proberly just have a wonder... more
