Would it be possible to find somewhere reasonably priced to stay for a Friday night in early April without booking in advance?

    roomsavers.com has coupons to print for last-minute stays with no reservations. I'd call the hotel first and see if they think you'l be able to use the coupon that night on a walk-in basis.
