guatemala city --safe?

has anybody been to guate city-lately-------is it safe or is it as bad as i read----thanks duncan

    I was in Guatemala City for 5+ weeks earlier this year. It's not "safe" but it also does not seem to be as dangerous as its reputation would lead one to believe.
