Hi, I & my 2 friends are planning a trip to Caramoan but really clueless about everything... help please... how to go there? how to go around? what are the places to visit? how many days to allocate? (eave manila by night of Jan 2 and be back by Jan 6) where to stay? how much should the budget be? any contact person u could give? can we still go to albay and to some tour? Really appreciate any help you guys could give...

Plane (Manila to Pili) via Philippine Airlines (Manila to Legaspi) via Cebu Pacific Bus (Manila to Naga) approx 10 hours Php 900/head Shuttle (Naga to Sabang) approx 45 minutes Php 90/head Boat (Sabang to Gihalo port) approx 1.5 hours Php 120/head Tricycle (Gihalo port to Caramaon proper) approx 15-20 minutes Php 50/head tips to porter: 10 to 20 pesos "what are the places to visit?" Suggest that you go island hopping: Islands to go to: Matukad Sabitang Laya Lahos Tinago Honungan Island hopping short trip (6am to 5 pm) Php 1500 Island hopping long trip (6am to 5pm) Php 2500 "how many days to allocate? (eave manila by night of Jan 2 and be back by Jan 6)" Depends on your budget. I'd say 3 days for Caramoan alone. "where to stay?" Rex Tourist Inn Tawog, Caramoan, Camarines Sur Twin Bed Php 900 Executive Room Php 2500 Extra Bed (small) Php 100 (Big) Php 250 Rex Tourist Inn will most likely insist a package deal but I suggest that you do away with it as it is much cheaper having a DIY trip. As for your meals, you can eat at "Lutong Bahay" or "Hapag Kainan". These are reputable canteen-like restaurants (carenderia is more apt). They serve delectable dishes as well. Be mindful of the contacts you find in the net, these are, most often than not, 3rd-party contacts, hence they're more expensive so to speak. The number I indicated below is Rex Tourist Inn's direct contact number. "how much should the budget be?" Hmmm....I'd allocate 6K just to be on the safe side but I doubt if you'll spend that much. This is assuming you'll be visiting Mt. Mayon too. "any contact person u could give?" Take a bus bound for Legaspi on your way home (assuming you'd like to see Mt. Mayon) OR visit CWC for some wakeboarding action. Please be reminded that some parts of Caramoan may not be open to tourists sometime in February. Locals mentioned that there'll be another "Survivor" cast shooting in the area around that month. Day tour is not possible, i agree from Naga to Sabang its already 2 hours even if you leave early morning then another 2... more
