You pretty much have to walk. Take the funicular up from the port to Capri town and then follow the signs from the piazza.

How long should the round trip take with stops at Arco Naturale? Are there any places to eat on the way? Thanks for your help!

There was a small cafe not far from the entrance to the ruins when we were there but not sure of hours or menu. Yes, the only way to reach Villa Jovis in on foot. You can see the location here: planetware.com/map/capri-map... The map doesn't show all of the paths so don't use it as your only guide: pick up a better map at the tourist kiosk near the piazzetta in town as signs can be confusing. It is an uphill climb so wear good shoes! capri.com/en/s/villa-jovis-m...

    >How long should the round trip take with stops at Arco Naturale? Depends on how slowly you walk, how easily you climb and how much time you spend at each site. We did the ruins and the arch on two different days but I'd allow at least a 1/2 day, as a rough guess. Info on Pizzolungo/Natural Arch: capri.com/en/s/arco-naturale...

Haven't eaten here but a restaurant near Natural Arch: http://www.capri.com/en/c/le-grottelle And here is the bar I remember on the way to Villa Jovis: tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_R... It doesn't appear to have much for food - only snacks - so I'd eat at a restaurant in the piazza or pick up a sandwich from one of the shops if needing a bigger meal. Villa Jovis is quite a way from any of the tourist services and reached via narrow paths through a quiet, residential part of the island.

Agree with Goodfish. Better to take your own snacks/water (bought on the mainland if you like, because Capri is very expensive). I don't think there is any way of getting to either place other than on foot. Capri Town> Villa Jovis took me around 45 minutes at a fairly cracking pace (gently uphill), although some of that time was spent navigating. There are ceramic direction signs set into walls on the way but Capri's little lanes can be a bit maze-like. I too walked to the Arco Naturale on a separate day. It took me about the same time getting there and longer coming back, because we used the path which follows the coastline. I'd recommend that if you have time. The going isn't quite so easy but you pass a Roman nymphaeum, walk through woodland and get some stunning views across the bay. Both my timings are from Capri Town. You'll need to add on another 20-30 minutes or so to get off the boat and take funicular or bus up to Capri Town from the dock area. You can download a decent map/leaflet with walking info here: capritourism.com/imgg/downlo... and a really good leaflet about the ancient monuments of the island here: capritourism.com/imgg/downlo...
