arriving on a Monday evening and going to magic show; there all day Tuesday & Wednesday with a 12 year old (we are 65); want to do and see as much as we can. Should we book tours or do it ourselves? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Better to book a tour or try to do it on your own? Arriving on a Monday evening, going to the magic show; will be there all day Tuesday and Wednesday - leaving on Thursday morning. We have a 12 year old and want to do and see as much as possible (possibly including the aero tram and the jet boat). Suggestion greatly appreciated!

Thinking of planning a 1 - 2 month trip to Whistler and was wondering if there are any places to stay long term and what my best options for long term lodging would be.
Was also thinking about splitting up some of that time in Vancouver and am curious about travel to/from Whistler and Vancouver.
Thanks!!
How do I travel from Woodlands Road Sooke to Swartz Bay Ferry by BC transit?
We will be arriving on Oct by cruise ship. Since it is a Sunday all the car rental agencies are closed. I have contacted several tour guides but they are booked. Would love some ideas on how to get around and spend time from 8AM to 6PM. We would love to see Gros Morne but the cruise ship charges $179pp.
What is a good restaurant in Old Montreal ?
I am thinking about taking a cruise in September from San Francisco to Vancouver. Does anyone have any thoughts about the cruise or the Canadian city?

My family and I have 3 weeks to spend in Italy and we need help on how to divide the 3 weeks to see the places in our wish list. Here is a sample of our itinerary: 3 full days Rome, 4 full days Amalfi Coast, 7 days Tuscany (how many days should we spend in Florence?) 3 days cinque Terre. We want a not too hectic vacation. Please help us!
We are planning a RV trip to BC this summer and want to go to Butchart Gardens. We will be taking a ferry from Anacortes, WA and want to make sure we will have enough time to see the gardens with travel time included. We have to small dogs that would be staying behind for the day or perhaps put into a kennel if we need more time. Would it be more economical and better to take our car or take a bus/cab or rent a car on the island? Can we do it in a day? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, my husband, our 4 year old daughter and myself are thinking about a trip to west Canada (from Ireland). We teach so have July and most of August off work. Although we have loads of time, we would be doing it on a shoe string!! Would like to know what people think; should we a) just focus on Vancouver and Vancouver Island (b) focus on the Rockies © try to do both - although I don't think we could afford it all at once!
We really want to get the 'real Canada' outdoorsy feel and would be staying in hostels (hopefully there are child-friendly ones about!!) any advice/opinions on what we should/could do?
Hi, I will be driving from Madison Wisconsin to Niagara Falls in June and will be crossing the border at Sault Ste Marie. I would really appreciate some advice on the following: For an overnight stay which would you recommend, the usa or ontario side of the border? What route would you recommend for the onward journey? Is there a route that includes a car ferry crossing? 13 years ago I did a long drive around the great lakes and I remember taking a car ferry but cannot remember where from or where it arrived (across part of lake huron maybe?) I do remember really enjoying that ferry trip though and would love to find it again to enjoy with my children. I seem to recall spending a few hours on a lovely beach after the ferry crossing. Any clues and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to maybe plan a short trip to New York City... I wanted to know if anyone had any experience in the area and would be able to help me in finding a CHEAPER but still NICE and CLEAN hotel around the Central Park area.
What are the best 10 attractions of Quebec City? Are they close to each other?
I am going to Eastern Canada in late September and will stay for 10 days. Where is the best place to see Northern Lights (e.g. Ontario and Quebec)? I heard that Northwest Canada had better views of Northern Light. I don't know if it is equally good in Eastern Canada. Any recommendation is much appreciated.
Ok, so I have searched through several of the threads for suggestions for this, and I have found some. In July, four of my friends and I are visiting Toronto. We are wondering if it is worth it to use the TTC pass? Or would it be better for us to go by Taxi? We will be staying near the airport, but we will definitely be checking out the city. We will be there for four nights, and five days.
Hi, I am visiting friends in Barrie for 3 nights and then I'm thinking of staying 1 night in Toronto before leaving for Niagara.
It will be December and I am wondering where's best to stay for just 1 night after a day sight seeing in Toronto?
Central but on a budget?
Any pointers on what to visit too? We are not into Museums or Galleries etc.
Why is it still listed? Does the Hershey Co. know that they are still listed here?
Hi, I am looking to visit Niagara (CA) for the day and then take a flight from Buffalo to NYC that night, how would we go about this without a car?
Is it OK to go just for the day? We will be travelling from Toronto that day. We could possibly stay 1 night and fly NYC the following morning but no point if nothing to do?
It'll be December so other than the actual looking at the Falls (doubt the boat trip will be on) is there anything else to do?
Hi, we are planning a four day trip in an RV to Vancouver Island with kids (range 5-9). Where are the best places to go? Right now Iʻm thinking 2 day in South Island - Victoria, 2 days Central Island and 2 days somewhere else? Suggestions??? Thank you!!
Can anyone give me some suggestions on these? Any odd shops that have unique pop culture gift items, vintage or modern -not the run of the mill travel souvenirs? Also, any cool boat rides to Vancover Island someone has taken? It doesn't have to be too long, like a cruise- just something about 20 Can dollars or fewer.
What ferries go to Cape Breton from other Canadian Province? Is there one straight from Quebec?
