Hello everyone!!! my husband and I will be going to cancun next week for the first time. Just some quick questions, has it been raining alot lately? Don't know if I should trust what I see on weather.com. 2nd question, when we go to eat at the buffets is it necessary to tip everyday we are there? I'm unsure of when not to tip and when to tip especially when it is an all inclusive resort. Thanks!
Weather is unpredictable. The whole area has has rain/thunder storms but that is the time of year. As to your question of "buffets" Im a bit unclear. If you are talking about restaurants you will frequent then yes I'd leave a tip for the servers. For the "all inclusive resorts" well, the same is true. They all have recommendations for tipping. Might be by the day or might by by the entre stay.

not sure I would tip at a buffet---maybe once at the end of the trip---most AIs have rules about tipping, check with them....

I would check with the Resort and ask about this to be sure. However, even if the gratuity was included, I also would tip--not the usual 15% or 20% but a dollar or so--any server who waited on me or who was attentive to my needs. Especially if I planned to eat there everyday. This will assure that you will be accommodated during your stay.

Hope you have such a great time, we love Cancun. I just looked at the weather and it looks like it will still be rainy next week but I'm not down there right now so I'm not sure

Usually not on the 7 there going fast. If it's a slow time I have seen it on occasion but the stops are pretty close... more
