Looking for a good price on a flight from New York City to Calicut in January. Prefer to stop overnight in the Gulf. Also if a Calicut member can give me a lead on renting a furnished space for 6 weeks.
Hi - check Qatar, Emirates, Ethiad, or Gulf Air to Kochi(Cochin) or Mumbai. Kochi is preferable - you can take a flight from Kochi to Calicut - costs about20-$30 if you book early, from Mumbai costs about70-80. Check www.makemytrip.com to see what domestic airlines fly between Kochi/Mumbai and Caliciut. India has good budget airlines and the flight between Kochi and Calicut is less than an hour. Much easier than road or train. Enjoy!
