I'm planning to go to Cajamarca (finally), from Chiclayo or Trujillo, end of this year. Does anybody have a suggestion, from personal experience, for a clean, comfortable, nice hotel / hostal in Cajamarca, preferably in the centre. Looking at price range around 200 to 300 soles per room per night (€ 50 to € 75 / USD 70 to USD 106)
So nice than you come to Peru and even better than you want to knowall those places!! I was in Cajamarca last year and I found it really amazing! if you are looking for accomodation I know 2 hostals in the centre which are around the prices you are asking. Both are 3* located close to the main square. You can get a good price if you contact through an agency, let me know if you want any help. And what about visit other places?! Have you been in Cusco?!! You have to visit it! I hardly reccomend you XD just in case, I give you the names of the hostals in Cajamarca, Hostal Mirador and Hostal CumbeInn, check the websites. Muchas gracias pero seria mejor si me dijiste las paginas web tambien de estas hoteles. Yo viví en Perú (Lima, San Isidro) y regreso casi cada año por Perú (y Colombia, mira mis paginas aqui) entonces no necesito ninguna agencia de viajes. Y tu, trabajas en una agencia? Noel

Hi Noel. So you lived in San Isidro, nice place =). About the hostal websites, no problem, they are, for the first hostal: Hostal El Mirador (h-elmirador.com/ubicanos_2.h... and Hostal CumbeInn (http://www.elcumbeinn.com/)both in Cajamarca. Thank you Consuelo. I contacted CumbeInn and Costa del Sol and both already replied. I will call Mirador / let my friends call as Mirador has no e-mail, only that of a travel agency. Es MUY incomodo que muchos hoteles/hostales en Perú no publican sus tarifas en su pagina web. Así se pierden huespedes porque a mi no me parece muy bien si no lo publican y entonces no quiero quedarme en un hotel como estos, así no tengo confianza en este negocio. Vivimos en el siglo 21!

Ah, Consuelo: mire mi foto personal-fue tomada en San Isidro hace 2 años, donde vivía, en El Bosque del Parque El Olivar, casi en frente de la residencia del embajador de Colombia (en la esquina de la Av. Arequipa).
