How Hot is it!!!

by AZGuy Online Now Jan 15, 2007 at 9:08 AM

June. I plan on making it to Cairo sometime in June and plan to stay 2-3 weeks. I have friends who have an apt in Alexandria and will visit them for a few days but other than that I will be in Cairo, Aswan, Luxor. I have heard it is really hot. Now I come from Arizona where it is routinely 110-115 degrees F in the summer. So I am used to the heat. However, will it be humid too in those areas? I am planning to go to Spain before Egypt for two weeks. Do you all think I should switch the plans and head to Egypt earlier than Spain due to the summer heat?

We went in September and it was quite comfortable in Egypt. Our friends went in June, and found it even nicer. If you are from Arizona, I don't see it a problem. We are from South Florida and, although hot, yes, it was not nearly as uncomfortable as we have the high humidity, which Egypt (and AZ) does not.

Living in Holland June is a NO GO to Egypt. To my standards it is far to HOT,HOT,HOT. I have no idea how people from Arizona are used to hot temperatures and the Fahrenheit scale is abacadabra to me. Anyway: It will not be humid in Egypt! Egypt consists for 95% out of desert! What do you think? The dry heath makes Egypt baerable to me. And only in spring and fall. No way you will see me there in summer. Winter is good. I think you will have to go to Egypt first (take precautions!!!) and than go to Spain to cool down. Have fun, Dora.
