Hi vt'ers im desperate for a flight for me and my partner going to Cairo in August 2006 to see my father who lives there. I have found one from london heathrow with EgyptAir for £800 Sterling pounds for the 2 of us. Does anyone know where i could get a cheaper flight as i feel that this is abit steep. Thanks in advance. Stacey x
Alitalia has a 149 Pound fare round trip plu tax. comes to about 540 for 2 after tax

Try this http://www.itasoftware.com/ select "looking for airfares" You may have to log in but there is not cost or hassle. Then click on "month long search" The long search will enable you to see if there are some special days that are cheaper. Enter round trip LON for london CAI for Cairo August 1 for month start When I do this today I find flights starting at432 RT/person including taxes and fees. That is a better deal than your £800 for two. You can select for direct flights and the best I found for direct flights was661 RT/person. That sounds like what your £800 for two. Note that itasoftware does not book flights, so you have to go to the airlines to do so. But it does give you an idea of the prices available I also check with http://www.travelocity.com http://www.orbitz.com and they do book the flights Of course you should also look for specials on the airlines that fly your route. If you fly to one of the resorts and then take an overnight bus it would be much cheaper.You can get a cheap flight to Luxor, Hurghada, Taba or Sharm. Indeed, I am going to Marsa Alam in May and the excel airways flight from Gatwick is only £120 return!

only egyptair and BA...fly directly between cairo-hearthow airports...im travelling to london at the same time you travelling to cairo..the prices you were gived are bloody cool...really..

From my experience the more money the better, my logic was always carry less clothes and more money. You have no idea... more
