Liveaboard Dive Trip--Recommendations

Hello, I'm planning to be in Cairns mid-May. I'm in the middle of finishing up my PADI open water certification (Barcas willin') and want to spend a night out on the reef. Does anyone have any experience with Deep Sea Diver's Den or Cairns Dive Center? Any preferences? The for a 2 day/1 night dive are comparable. (Other operators do longer trips, but I am traveling with my non-diving boyfriend and don't want to leave him alone on vacation for too long. . .) Thanks!
