We are planning to spend 2 weeks in Nice in August and I'm looking for a possiblity of my kids (4 and 6) being immersed in French language/ culture by spending some time with French speaking kids. They are in French program here in Canada and know basics, and I'm thinking that it would be very benefitial for them to have that exposure ( couple hours a day/ half day or so).
Is there any drop in programs that you would know of and would recommend.
Hi everyone again!
We came up with the idea of renting a cottage/ cabin on a family friendly campground site. Now we need some suggestions. Here's what our criteria is:
Ideally where no car is needed ( we will be likely coming by train from Paris)
Kids club on site
Options of getting groceries close by
Proximity to the beach
Clean and safe
Wondering If a place like this is even existent or is it too much to ask for. If you have any ideas, please post, i would be very grateful. My french is quite limited and it's tough to do research on my own.
My wife and I are planning a 3 day stop over in Nice during Mid August. We plan to base ourselves in Nice and visit places like St tropez, Cannes, Vence and Eze. Our original plan was to hire a car and drive to these areas but a little concerned with the areas being busy during the peak periods.
Can anyone give some tips on travelling around?
We are planning a 3 week summer holiday in France (August-September) and I am thinking somewhere between Nice and Menton/Ventimiglia (Italy).
During our holidays we usually spend 1 day relaxing at the beach and the next day hiking, so close proximity to the beach and being close to the main roads into the mountains is a must.
Accommodation at walking distance of the beach would be great, but alternatively a place more into the mountains/mainland, about 30 min driving from the beach, would be acceptable as well since we'll have a car.
A sandy beach is appreciated but not a must.
We don't care for nightlife and prefer a quiet place over busy city (such as Nice).
We just need a simple apartment with kitchen, and somewhere to sit outside like a balcony or garden....We won't be spending too much time in the apartment anyway.
Do you have any suggestions on the best locations to stay?
Thanks for your time!
