is there a train from caen to st malo, or is there a tour of mt st michele from caen
You can get from Caen to St. Malo by train, changing in Dol de Bretagne, but it takes more than 3 hours. And in any case, if it's St. Michel you want to get to, you want to go to Pontorson. Which takes about 2 hrs on direct trains going to Rennes. From Pontorson station, bus no. 15 bus goes to Mont St. Michel, about 9 km away. For timetables see reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/qu....

http://www.voyages-sncf.com/ will give you train times and fares in French (easy to work out). Journey time is around 3 hours (varies according to departure time), one-way fare from 28.90 euro. Don't know about tours to Mont St Michel, sorry. The only daytours listed on the official Caen tourist info site are to the landing beaches: tourisme.caen.fr/anglais/pro...
