We are traveling for a wedding at RIU but are not staying there. Has anyone done this? I was told they charge100 for a day pass. Any advice would be helpful. Also,do you know if there are any specific timeshares offering US dollars to attend a presentation? Also, any specific recent deals worth considering? THANKS for your time and advice!
RIU facilities (there are multiple) are a bit of a rip-off as they require 80% of the wedding party plus the bride and groom to stay at the facility in order to pay to have the wedding there. Also they charge guests to enter. Here's a quote from their web site: "If I have guests who want to attend the Wedding, but will not be staying at Riu Hotels & Resorts, is this possible? Guests staying in other hotels must purchase a day pass to attend the ceremony and dinner reception. Day passes are between50 and100 USD depending on the destination and hotel."
