How is the current power crisis in the DR affecting Cabarete? Jim
?power crisis? what power crisis? i'm going in march, and i'd like to know what you're talking about. not that i'll be using too many electrical appliances anyways. but still. can you fill me in?

In Cabarete, Sosua and most of the tourist areas of the DR, power is supplied independently, regardless of the national power situation. If you have a business in any of these areas without proper power, you can`t survive for long. I fell in love with the country because of the difference between the tourist areas and the other areas, since tourism is their major income, they have better standards.
