My wife and I are going to Butuan in the next two weeks and was wondering about stores, malls and such. We were also wondering about living areas and houses for sale. My wife is from Butuan but has not been back in about three years. She has family there and we are going to visit them and to look for a place to live. I want to open her a small business of her choice, so inputs would be very appreciated.
hi friend...Butuan City has two big shopping malls, Gaisano and Otis Metro. Butuan is a highly urbanized city in Mindanao at present. Just a piece advise, it would be better if you will live not on the City proper but in its suburb. The best place near the city is the Municipality of Buenavista which would just take a 20 minutes travel. Buenavista is a very nice place and very abundant of agricultural products. It is also a nice place for business. Why not try to visit there when you'll be in Butuan. You just ride a jeepney for 16 pesos for one way....
