Hi, I've just moved to Butterworth and have been finding my away around slowly, but am struggling to locate a few shops/services. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find any of these things: -an art store (want to buy some blank, stretched canvas') -a plant nursery -a bookstore (somewhere where I can buy a B Malaysia/English dictionary.) -a Bahasa Malaysia teacher Also, we are looking for a cleaner to clean our apartment - just for an hour or so a week. Any recommendations? Should we go to an agency to find a cleaner? And, lastly, if anyone would like to meet up, let me know! I'm an English teacher, in my late 30's. thanks! Maria
Hi, I will be travelling to Butterworth in July and would appreciate contact details of a reputable English speaking guide/driver who could show us around. I was born whilst my father was with the RAAF stationed in Butterworth in 1962, so would prefer someone with some knowledge of that time. Thanks!
Hello, we will be staying in Georgetown and can take the ferry to Butterworth as we are staying in Kuala Lumpur for a week or so after we leave Georgetown. What is the best way to get from Penang to Kuala Lumpur? The ferry to Butterworth, and if so how is the best way to get into Kuala Lumpur? Or simply fly from Penang to Kuala Lumpur?
