What is the name of the 600 years old Tree in Bursa?

by VidER Online Now Jan 2, 2013 at 11:37 PM

Hi All.

I am sure you all know the famous 600 Year Old tree in Bursa.

I was looking for it in FourSquare but couldn't find it. What is the name of the tree? Both in English and in Turkish.

Thank you all.

When I visited it, it was indicated by the locals as the tree of Inkaya. But I am not sure if that is the original name.

Amazing, it is in the village of Inkaya and it is a syacamore tree, sometimes known as a plane tree. Looks as if the whole village can get some shade underneath it on a hot summer's day!!

    Hi Vider,
It is called as 'Çınar' in Turkish.
    It is a plane-tree.
