Land border crossing: China-Myanmar

Hi, We plan to cross the border from China to Myanmar by land. We are NOT Chinese nor Myanmar nationals. We plan to travel to Mandalay, Yangon... Does anyone know if whether it is allowed, which border gate is open, are there any limits for a signle tourist? Thanks! e-mail: agas10@hotmail.com
